At Gilded Skin, I prioritise the health and safety of my customers, ensuring that all face paints used meet the highest standards of quality and that hygienic practices are followed.

All the professional brands of face paint used are hypoallergenic and formulated with UK/EU compliant cosmetic ingredients as well as being paraben and cruelty free. They are specially formulated to minimise the risk of allergic reactions, making them suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.

If you are concerned, please ask for a patch test and wait at least an hour.

At Gilded Skin, I only use biodegradable glitters which are made from plant based materials like cellulose and do not contain any plastics. Some breakdown in water and some are compostable and will breakdown over time.

A biodegradable glitter bar or tattoos can be added on to your party/event. I also handmake reusable stick-on bling and unicorn horns which add a unique sparkle and can enhance my face paint creations.

To avoid skin irritation, please refrain from using baby wipes or scrubbing to remove face paint and glitter. Instead, use a face cloth or cotton pads soaked in warm soapy water to gently wipe it off.

All the face paints I use are professional grade and water-based, ensuring they are not permanent and can be easily removed. Occasionally, darker colours may persist on skin even after washing. In such cases, wait until the next day to wash again or use an oily cleanser followed by wiping with cotton wool. Any residual pigment typically comes off the following day.

I only use cosmetic grade Biodegradable glitter which is applied with a natural balm or gel specifically made for use on the skin. The easiest way to remove it is with a piece of masking tape (or similar) gentle pressed over the top.

How much do you charge?

Price depends on a number of things, that's why a full quote can be given once full details are provided. My starting package is £150.

How far do you travel?

I cover a large area of the South East of England but I'm happy to travel anywhere if expenses are paid!

Do you have Insurance?

I have full Public Liability Insurance and am DBS checked, my certificates can be shown on request.
